The guys of Xperimental Innovations are having a Neon Meet at Gateway International Raceway March 26th.
Gateway is having their Midnight madness so most of the members will be putting their cars on the track. $25 to race and $15 to spectate.
We are going to have guys for Kansas,Texas, possibly Florida and Missouri there. It should be a big one. For more details go to www.xtremeneons.com    This is not the Xtremeneons of old.It is under new control.

I wouldn't mind going, either !!!
But it's the end of the quarter (they frown upon people taking time off then) and I need to get the Neons back in shape for long road trips, before I go anywhere (timing belts, etc.)

However, the '98 will be back in action soon... I *think*.... once I test drive it and determine that the trans is ready. ( It is sitting under a cover of snow for right now )

I would really like to go, it's not likely that I will make it, if I am honest with myself.  Sad

Right now, the 'new' '99 Neon that I bought last summer, is stranded in my driveway, with a blown brake line, or a leak from a wheel cylinder.
It happened while I was changing the struts last weekend.
With 200,000 miles on the odometer, I figure it is time to replace all the brake lines and hoses, anyway..... So my weekends will be Shot until I replace everything, and get the car driveable again.

I am down to only one running Neon......
If it goes down, i am f.....  Sad

I have my 1998 Neon *almost* ready to drive.....but the plates are suspended, and I'll have to pass emissions and get the plates re-instated first, before I can drive it.
I need to test drive it, too, to make sure it's ready before I take it on any long road trips.

Oh, and it needs tires, to replace the bald Falkens that I have been using to 'roll' the car around upon, while I was fixing it.  Smiley

I got you. I am getting there on a shoestring budget myself. Working on a KCIR meet in April before I graduate and get sent around the country ( have a lead to working on military rotor craft. Hoping for that. ).
