Ok, When it becomes time to Turbo my car..... I know exactly nothing about it... I'll be first to admit, Turbo's got me clueless but I love the power they give (from riding in my buddys AWD TSI Talon) I want to turbo the neon... There is to damn many honda's and half assed muscle cars that run like a 14-15 and these kids think there fast... there is 1 honda that I have respect for.. He runs low 12's high elevens.. Do you think I have a chance of catching him?

The thing is, When I go to turbo it I had alot of questions... First I am going to buy everything I need. I won't build the car half ass and put it on the street to get laughed at. I am going to get the car built right the first time and I am going to keep building it up until I have everything then I will take it out on the streets to play with some kids...

Gonna be funny to watch a neon beating all the ''real street racers''

They have a street where all the kids meet up and I have been down there. Its out off a road in the middle of a country part on a long road with a culdasack where the damn cops don't know and kids hang out. There is no houses or traffic either. good spot to hang out but they always ask where is your car. I tell em, I am getting a neon to build and every kid laughs except the kid who has a 1st gen neon and a guy has a SRT-4..

I was wondering how much horsepower will I need to build a 12 Sec neon? I am gonna see if I can buy the rear seat delete for mine to remove the seat in the back. Then I am going to gut the trunk of everything except the carpet. I am basically looking for a clean looking car that is street legal and FAST!

When it comes time to turbo it, Is there anyone in MN or near MN that would wanna help me build the car??

I asked the questions on neons.org and basically got told I was a idiot. They could of atleast told me something I dont know  Grin

Grab a 2.4, get all the SRT stuff and drop it in.  Get a log manifold and 20g, megasquirt, and some good tires.  Should be able to hit 12's without too much trouble.  Especially if you put it all in a light car, like a 95 base Wink

This would make things a little easier:
PTGT 2.4t on ebay

But then you'd have to wire in the PT/SRT computer or run megasquirt since that's an NGC engine. Wink

Yes but you already had Magasquirt on the list so I thought maybe this could be an option.  Wink

What's funny is whipping up on the ricers in a PT Cruiser. Grin
